Great Play Museum For Young Kids

Great small museum that is all about play! Amazing interactive exhibits in the basement of historic home. A great play restaurant, sweet shop, and boat. Arts and crafts in a separate room with racks to dry while you finish playing. Legos, play sand, train tables, cars, etc all available for play. A puppet theatre and stage for you stars. Glow in dark room, light tables, take apart station all for your creations. A play clinic with either babies or animals. Great fan table to float balloons or your parachutes. A wooden ball track and track wall. Depending on weather or construction outside play- water and sand tables and giant foam blocks! So rain or shine a great place for little ones to blow off steam. Unlike Houston museum no paying for parking, huge crowds, and wild over stimulation. Worth the cost.

Great Stop For Small Kids

We were visiting Galveston with our granddaughter and stopped for about an hour. She’s 4, and the activities were perfect for her. The museum is small – it’s the basement of the moody mansion – but it’s packed with activities. It was definitely worth a stop.

Best Indoor Kid Entertainment

This was our second time to visit the Galveston Children’s Museum and my two kids (ages 4 & 7) love it! We can spend hours walking from room to room or center to center enjoying the variety of activities that are available. This trip we were also able to go outside and they played on the big blue blocks just as much time as they did in the art room. My daughter loves the pizza parlor and the talent stage. My son loves the fishing boat and the tool room. We will definitely visit again in the near future!
