GCM Covid Camp Guidelines

What You Can Expect from Your Visit

Following CDC, state and local authorities’ guidelines, these are some of the changes for our campers:

  1. Camps are purchased online and a reservation form completed to attend camps.

  2. During check in and pick up, no need to get out of your car a staff member will greet your child(ren) and take them to their camp and bring them to your car at the end of the day.

  3. Masks that cover the nose and mouth are required when inside the museum, during camp, and at check in by all staff, and children ages 2+.

  4. We will check the temperature of campers before escorting them to camp.

  5. If the camper, or someone in their immediate family, is exposed to COVID-19 or becomes sick, we ask that the camper please stay home. We will gladly refund your camp purchase.

  6. Each camper will bring their lunch and a water bottle each day of camp.

  7. Please note that wearing masks are required to attend the camp. We want to make sure everyone is safe.

What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe

  1. We will separate the campers into small groups. Each group will have 5-6 children so social distance can occur.

  2. Materials and items will be sanitized and maintained between uses.

  3. We have installed multiple hand sanitizer stations, and will be used by campers and staff as they work and play in the museum.

  4. Frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized in each exhibit and camp location after the campers finish playing.

  5. At the end of each day, all exhibit, camp items, surfaces, floors, and common areas will be sanitized.

  6. We wear a mask and wash or sanitize our hands before and after interacting with campers, visitors, and guest touched items, or every 60 minutes.
